Budd A. Tucker, PhD, RPB/IRRF Catalyst Awardee, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, will produce outer retinal cell grafts (grown from fibroblasts taken from a patient's own skin) on biodegradable scaffolds and deliver the cell scaffolds into an eye. These studies will ultimately define the choice of cell and delivery techniques used for the treatment of AMD patients.
